Hannah`s Bar-B-Que in Claremont

Sad to say, the food is only OK. Their BBQ sauce is sweet-talk and spicy-hot, but the meats are mostly dry and tasteless. The "pulled pork" looked like it went through a meat grinder and the BBQ chicken, I think, was boiled before they dipped it in the sauce. The "Brunswick Stew" was soupy thin and only hinted of meat. The server, a sweet, friendly young woman, made the meal bearable,or we'd have left sooner. We have no reason to ever go back to Hannah's...Update: I've downgraded my mark to two stars after trying their "barbecue beef" - a serving of dry, virtually tasteless slices of overcooked meat with a ladle-full of their sauce poured over it. The slices under the top one never saw any sauce, so you have to wonder how the stuff qualified as BBQ. For all I can tell, it was boiled, like the chicken.This place rates a firm "Thumbs-Down"

Awesome food. Great prices. The absolute best country style steak I've ever eaten from any diner. I mean amazing. Mouth watering. The fried okra and mash potatoes with brown gravy and country style steak. For like 7.50.... also comes with hush puppies or rolls. If you haven't tried it... your missing out.

Used to be one of our favorite places, the food is usually good. I had given it 5 stars before. But I was disappointed that if I use my debit or credit cards that I'm charged an addition 4%... not worth it. We'll just go elsewhere.

Food is generally good. last to orders to go had missing items. 1st one was missing hush puppies. A week later same order and no slaw. maybe the guy that is getting hired today will do a better job.

Service was excellent. Very friendly waitresses that gave me a lot of attention. Had BBQ sandwich. BBQ is just smoked pork that you have to add your sauce to at the table. Very generous portion of BBQ on the sandwich.

On our way to play golf at Rock Barn golf club, we passed by Hannah’s BBQ. We decided to stop for lunch on the way back to Lake Norman. We were delighted with the food and the friendly service. We highly recommend Hannah’s.

I got there every day for lunch during work and I love it. Their hot dogs are always good and the fries always fresh. Even during pick up order. The people are very friendly. And always put a smile on after you leave . Good place . Five stars

I went to visit this place once, and it was great! The employees are all very nice. The food took a long time so I knew they were making it fresh, and when I tried it, It was SOOO good! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Excellent home cooking sides and bbq

Great food, large portions, and some of the friendliest staff I've ever met.

Up until now I would give it about 3-4 stars. Sitting in here right now having breakfast. Been listening to person after person coughing in the back. Just watched a cook come in from outside with his latex gloves on and go straight into the kitchen which you can see from dining area and start handling food. Not sure if he was outside smoking or coming in from the outside restroom. Touching door handles. He knocked a hat off the gumball machine. Picks it up and places it back on the machine. All while still wearing his latex gloves and heads right into the kitchen. Someone back there right now just coughing away. I’m done. Willnever come here again. Oh. I forgot. Cook wearing a tank top so you know he’s been leaning over food and probably dropped some extra flavoring in someone’s omelet

My husband and I and 3 year old daughter came in for breakfast. This was our first time here, we just moved to the area. It was absolutely the best breakfast we have had in awhile. The atmosphere was great and it was very affordable and you get more than enough food. We will be coming back and trying lunch & dinner, and definitely be back for breakfast again.

The service was really good, friendly, prompt and enjoyable. The food proportions were abundant and tastefully done, and had excellent flavor. The restaurant was clear, tidy and professional.

My experience there was not so pleasant. We got a lunch order to go, and ordered when we got there. The young blond cashier who took our order approached us like she was absolutely miserable and unhappy to be there. Rolled her eyes as we gave her our order of 2 BBQ sandwiches, 2 small fries and 1 small drink. Our total was over $16! Way too expensive! The food was okay if you like cold fries. This place doesn't even come close to the quality of food and service as we get at Apple City BBQ! We would have probably felt more positive about the experience if the staff didn't look so depressed to be there.If you work in customer service, you should be friendly and display a helpful attitude. Don't take out your day on your customers. Find a job where you don't have to show your true personality!

Down working from Michigan, always have to try local BBQ! Sandwich was very good! James, the owner, was very hospitable and friendly, I could probably talk with him for a good while. I will definitely be back when I’m back this way again.

Been eating here since I was a teenager. Well that was 20 years ago. Food and service is still amazing!!
